The home page of a product is the best articulation of its product strategy because it is the primary touchpoint for potential customers and encapsulates the essence of the product and its value proposition. It serves as the digital front door to the product, making a powerful first impression that can determine whether a visitor decides to explore further or leave.

Increasing Discoverablity

As LazyPay evolved, we continually added new product lines to our platform. Users come to LazyPay with the expectation of completing specific tasks, so it became necessary for us to cross-sell products on the home screen.

Each product line is treated as a sub-brand, with its own distinct identity defined by unique colors and logos.

Demystifying PayLater

In our research, we found that many people are still unfamiliar with the concept of PayLater. Since PayLater is one of our core products, it was essential to address some of the most common questions users have, such as "What is my limit?" and "Where can I use it?"

Solving Repayment Challenges

In any lending business, the repayment rate is a vital metric, and managing risk is essential. The home screen serves as a major touchpoint where users are informed of their repayment obligations. To address this, we have designed various states for different user segments, tailored to urgency and customer risk profiles.

Marketing & User Education product lines

Some of our product lines require their own narratives to help users understand how they benefit them. These narratives also serve as experimental grounds, allowing us to test various positioning strategies for each product line and its features. By running multiple product positioning themes, we can determine the most effective ways to present and promote our offerings to users.

Handling Dropoffs

A significant part of our customer journey involves the lengthy process of KYC (Know Your Customer). The reliability of many systems involved in KYC is sometimes beyond what LazyPay can currently control. However, it is crucial for us to handle these situations gracefully when they arise, guiding users back to the process and encouraging them to complete it.

Communicating Essential Comms

Operating in a highly regulated space means that regulations frequently change. Previously, we managed these updates using CleverTap modals, which was not the most efficient approach. Effectively communicating these regulatory changes to users became crucial. Since the home screen is the first touchpoint for users upon opening the app, it became essential for us to address this communication challenge directly on the home screen.

Building a Thriving Marketplace

As a business, we're experiencing significant traction in cross-selling various financial products that fulfill users' needs. With the introduction of our new home screen, we aimed to allocate a dedicated space for these products to accommodate their growing number.

Reimagined User Profile

We relocated our credit limits, previously displayed on the home screen, to the profile section to better support our growing credit lines. Additionally, we applied a fresh coat of paint using our newly designed system, enhancing the overall look and feel.
