After a year of working over zoom conversations, the Lazypay design team finally got together in person in Mumbai.
Day 1
Day 1 mostly consisted of people determining how tall or short others were in real life in comparison to how they seemed on zoom chat. There were a few unexpectedly stunning occurrences here and there.
We did some drinking and partying together, so that did happen too. There was a lot of shouting, as well as loud music and alcohol.
Day 2
We spent most of our time roaming about south Bombay. In comparison to Bangalore, Mumbai has a far larger number of high-rise buildings, many of which feature fascinating and creative architectural designs.
Incredible and wonderful location. We have never before experienced cuisine that was quite that mouthwatering, and the flavour is one that we simply cannot forget. A fresh perspective on creative expression. The entire atmosphere, down to the people working there, had us completely captivated.
After stuffing ourselves with delicious meals and getting our bellies nice and full, we made our way to SMAAASH for some bowling and arcade fun. After a game of bowling, I quickly came to the realisation that I am terrible at the sport; despite this, playing in the sport with the rest of the team was enjoyable.
We do in fact have one of those 'Avengers Assemble' moments right now.
For dinner we decide to try London Taxi, maybe not out finest pick all of all the day. I suppose it is fair to say that by this time I was operating on fumes, and the fact that I had only slept for two hours was not helping the issue.
But we couldn't go without visiting Marine Drive in Mumbai, so we saved our last bit of energy and made our way to the drive at midnight.
Despite the fact that it was a stock location, I can't deny that it possessed a certain allure. In comparison to the two days we spent in Mumbai, it was very calm and pleasant here.
